JOB TITLE: Assistant County Engineer

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include the coordination of detailed phases of engineering work in design and construction through plan and specification preparation and construction inspection/documentation. Other duties include surveying, CAD drafting and associated office and field work to assist bringing projects from concept to final completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited College or University and a current Illinois Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain one within 2 years. Familiarity with IDOT policies and procedures in roadway design, construction and maintenance is desired. Knowledge of computer software to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and HEC-RAS. Possess the ability to perform field survey work. Qualifications for NBIS program manager or team leader is desired.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Qualifications. Includes a full Lee County benefit package.

Lee County Facilities Maintenance Working Supervisor

Applications are being accepted for a permanent, full-time, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor position for Lee County. Applicants must have general knowledge of HVAC, electrical/plumbing, and building maintenance. A HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, and an Associate Degree with 1-2 years’ experience in facility maintenance activities are required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of an Associate Degree. Position will provide daily supervision of department personnel and the administration of department activities, policies and budgets.
