(FOIA) NOTICE

LEE COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT

The Lee County Probation Department is providing the following information in conformance with the Freedom of Information Act 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Lee County Probation Department is to provide the offender who is placed under the department's supervision the opportunity to learn the proper tools to use to return them back to a law abiding citizen and a contributing member of society.

Furthermore, the department will provide the justice system with proper and thorough investigations of each client, an accurate assessment of the client's needs and risks, and a planned program that will enable the client to return back to the community successfully.

Additionally, the Lee County Probation Department will bring about within the community the understanding of community-based corrections and promote a willingness within the community to provide the resources and opportunities for the clients to be accepted back into society. The department will also continue to promote and assist the community in addressing crime and delinquency prevention.
